they don't let those barbers out of the jug soon, we will have to cut our own hair. Yes, we here quite a bit about them closing AST and most of the fellows are glad of it. Here is something that will give you a good idea of what we are training for. Some fellows who had finished three terms here were sent to a cook's and baker's school. That really makes a guy feel like quitting. After working like a dog for nine months taking all of this stuff then they do that to them. Sure glad to hear Wilfred is coming back to the States. I don't imagine I'm any happier than he is. We found out that we can't get a chance to take air corp tests if we wanted to before the end of term. I doubt if I will be here then. Several fellows I know are flunking out too. That won't be so bad. We might get something good, but if I didn't then I could try for the air corp. Don't worry about it for I trying to get the best deal that I can. AST isn't it. Can't think of a great lot more to say. I'll write again during the week. These are short letters, but I'll try to write more of them. Love Carroll
