Saving...
Feb 5, 1944 Dear Folks, Here it is Sunday night again. I sure hate to see another week start. I haven't much to write about, but here goes. We played our game this afternoon. I got to play some. I was playing forward for the first time in my life. I made four points but they weren't needed for we won 31-21. We are having some sort of tournament and our game was with one of the fraternities. We have blue trunks and orange shirts. The AST team played Fort Warren last night and its one of the best ball games I've ever seen. Both are very good teams. We lost lost by one point. At the end of the game it was tied so they played a five minute overtime. We lost in the last five seconds of play. This friend of my, [Lundstedt?], made seventeen points. After the game about thirty couples went over to the house for a party. Two captain's and a first Lt. were there. Its ten o'clock and I have to shave before going to bed. Guess I'd better hurry up. The weather hasn't been so hot this weekend. The wind is blowing about [ninty?] and every time you step outside you get an eye full of dirt.
