wife. Mr and Mrs Carroll Steinbeck. And today everyone should know our happy plans and be happy for us. And do you know what happened. We'd been calling the Book Store to save us a paper and then they didn't come in. Dotty was so mad. I [went??] to the folks right away and told them to send their paper [stotly?]. Darling, you and I are engaged. Isn't it absolutely wonderful! I slept late yesterday A.M. so didn't get much done but a little bit of packing. Remember honey after [Dec?] 10th my address will be back to French Hall, Davenport again. That's where I'll be waiting for you honey. What a happy day that will be. There I go again. Completely off the news. Really isn't much [per?] [rual??]. Last nite when we got off duty
