these cold winter nites. We got some extra blankets for our beds cuz we about froze last nite. The sudden change I guess. Sorta dread tomorrow cuz I just know I'll have to [circulate?] for Dr [Shafer?] & he can be so darn mean. I always glare at him when he starts to yell but doesn't seem to bother him abit. And guess who I saw today. Betty Lou. First time since she's been married. She's doing private duty for awhile. Said to tell you hi & said to say how very happy she was for us. [illegible] is being discharged & they're going to live here in Davenport. I'm invited there for supper at my own risk. Betty Lou says cooking is coming abit slow.
