love to go on a sleigh ride now. Is really swell. Today Ruthie & I went downtown. Crowd was so big we practically got trampled. Reason I wanted to go down was to pick up the cablegram. Could hardly wait to get my hands on it. I read it & read it & love it more & more. We weren't so busy today in surgery so we cleaned the place. Seems to be a lull now [with] everyone considering the holidays. Not that we mind one bit. But I really like working there. Will be till first of the year & then they want me to go on nites. Good job it would be but a hard one. Kids are playing cards & some arguing. We built a fire in fireplace cuz it was so cold in here. Got my Xmas cards to address. Will be glad to have it done. Got one from [Dietz?] -- a gal that was in my class & she was congratulating us on the wonderful news. They can't imagine just how happy I am. There aren't words to fully ex-
