December 17, 1945 My dearest Carroll, Hi darling! Monday nite & we just finished cleaning the cottage. Tomorrow nite the nurses are to sing carols in the hospital & is the tradition to have the people that sing [with] us to come here for a cup of coffee. Tomorrow we are to get a Xmas tree so we hunted for the decorations today. I love Xmas trees & I love to decorate them. Mom said she had gotten hers but isn't up yet. Your letters mean so very much to me. With-
