Saving...
for awhile in the P.M. Ruthie wasn't feeling to good. It has been so icy out & she fell the other nite. I about exploded then. Said she hadn't told me before cuz she didn't want to worry me. Hurried back & went to a show. Wasn't very good one [with] Eddie Bracken & he's crazy. Today we've been awfully busy in surgery. Had so much to sterlize. Then I had to be in charge of the house & an accident case came in. And the usual interruptions [with] can I do this can I do that. We didn't get down to supper till 8:00 PM & by then we were to slap-happy. I'm on call tonite & the weather is awful. Streets are like a sheet of ice -- has sleeted about all P.M. So now it's freezing. Some of the buses have stopped cuz of it. I'm hoping for the best when I go home tomorrow. Wear my boots
