Saving...
to be had. Was worried for a minute that maybe folks wouldn't make it to [illegible]. But they did. Margaret B. left on the same train I came in on. We slide [illegible] in a way. Was really icy. When I got home I no more stepped in the door & Joan called wondering if I had arrived. She & Mick came over & you should see Mick. He's fat honestly. Really looks good & gets so perturbed when you kid him about his double chin. Then Wilma & Kieth H. came in. Such a mad house. Mom & Mrs B couldn't get supper for visiting & was close to 8:30 before we ate. I guess the lights kept going out every now & then & they were fit to be tied. Mom was trying to roast a chicken. Was very good tho even [with] the trouble. Dad was home for the nite. He looks good but he's thinner than he was. Has his eye on an apt. for he & Mom. Hope they can get it. They're so anxious
