[Letterhead] Sept 17, 1945 My dearest Carroll, Hi darling! Say, honey, I wish you were here to keep me warm. Is it ever cold here tonite. I pity you in the winter time cuz my feet get so cold. Just wait you'll find out. I've started back on my old shift of 3-11. Got up about 10 this A.M., cleaned the room, did some sewing, ironing & even knitted some. Things have quieted down abit at hosp. now. When it's quiet we gripe & when it's busy we gripe. Guess we just can't be pleased. Of course, when you think of getting some pay makes
