Sept 28, 1945 My dearest Carroll, Hi darling! The weather here gets worse & worse. Today it rained again & this P.M. it started getting cold. They say it is supposed to frost tonite I really believe it's going to. Just think before long we'll have snow & all that. We really haven't had alot of hot weather around here this year. I like cold weather tho. I even like to [wade?] snow. Remember the snow fight we had down at Thorp's one time. If I remember right we tried to get your car out of a drift too. What a time we had!
