Nov 6, 1945 My dearest Evelyn, Hi darling! Just finshed the book I was reading and now I going to settle down and write that most wonderful girl of mine. Its getting along towards midnight but as I said before, I can always sleep late in the morning. I might say right offhand that news is sadly lacking. They closed down our theatre down the street so about all I've been doing is sleeping mornings, playing football in the afternoon and reading until along about midnight. If there is any news in that, I can't seem to find it. Darling, I really hit the jackpot on mail today. Had seven letters
