that I love you. People will probably say "That's the first bright thing that Steinbeck Boy ever did, getting engaged to that wonderful girl." "Unquote." No fooling honey. No mail today, but maybe the luck will change tomorrow. I kinda feel lucky anyway. Just a year ago today I boarded a Troop Ship in New York Harbor. We didn't leave for two days after we loaded on. Some deal! I'll be glad when this is all behind me darling and I can hold you in my arms and tell you all about what I've done and seen.
