darling, when I got there they told me I had some mail. Honey, I had thirteen letters. Well, twelve letters and a birthday card. Most of it was [ould?] mail, but I did have a few new ones. Darling, six of those letters were from you. I could have turned flip-flops when I saw them. Only one was for my new address and it was postmarked Oct 30. The other letters were from the family. One from Rose, one from Ken and the rest from the folks. One of Mom's letters was to my new address and she told me that you were going to come home soon and announce our engagement. She thought it would be swell.
