Feb 19, 1946 My Dearest Evelyn, Hi darling! I finally wrote when I was supposed to honey or at least on my second day as usual. I just felt so darned lonesome tonight. Thought maybe just writing to you would help. Not much going on around here. A few fellows sitting around talking or just doing nothing. Went down the trail twice today. Once in the morning and again in the afternoon. The second time it was so foggy that Bill and I nearly got lost. It was impossible to see
