Didn't do a great deal yesterday. In fact, I didn't get up until the mail came at 10:00 A.M. Had a letter from you, Mom Kens and another kid in the army. Yours was the one written while you were on duty. Remember? The one on the order sheet. Golly honey, a letter from you makes me feel like turning flip-flops. Just messed around then until time to eat dinner. After that I went down the road and visited some of the boys. Came back with new blankets and a pillow. Sure got this bed fixed up now. Last night we just sat here in the tent and spilled our troubles to each other. All the fellows in my tent are just my age and all but one are single.
