Saving...
Sept 21, 1945 My Dearest Evelyn, Hiya honey! Here goes again with a little news. Well darling, I lived through the parade through I confess, I'm a little tired. I'm getting ahead of my story so guess I'd better slow down and start at the beginning. Went on guard at midnight last night. Was on until four this A.M. I didn't go to bed before twelve becuz I was afraid I'd just be all the more sleepy for it. I came off guard and got to bed at 4:15. Well honey, at 5:30 they got me up to go to the parade. That was 1:15 in bed. Ate breakfast and was on the way by 7:00.
