May 6, 1945 Dear Folks, I suppose the big news is that it is nearly over over here. Big things have really been taking place this past week. Shouldn't be too long yet I suppose. The big question for most of us now is what will they do with us now. I may get to see Ray yet. It is truly a beautiful day here. The sun is warm as heck and there is very little wind. Quite a change for it has been cold and damp. Just finished a letter to Ken's. I better write rose today to for I got one from her last night. Too bad she and Pinky couldn't stay together.
