Saving...
May 16, 1945 Dear Folks, I sort of missed out on my weekly letter, but I'm finally getting the job done. I haven't been working too hard, but we have been moving about some. Right at present we are living in a deserted hotel. There is very little furniture, but the surroundings are nice. We are sleeping on the floor but that beats pup tents. Went fishing in a canal the other day. The tackle was bent pins and string. Believe it or not I caught some bullheads, bluegills, sunfish. Fried them on our little field stove and they were really good. How about sending some hooks and string? Send a box of hooks ok for bullheads please.
