Saving...
Coblenz. We moved into four German houses. I had a big bed to myself and it was great. Two of us shared a large room with running water. All the furniture was left and it was really ok. We thought sure we were going to have a long rest. The next day we received orders to pack up and meet at an old airfield. This we did and lived in pup tents for a couple days. We then loaded on boxcars again and started right down along the Rhine River. We went through Mainz Boppart, Ludwigshaven and crossed into Allsiss-Lorraine. We kept coming until we ended up just out side of Marseille at a little place called St Victoret. It is on the Mediterranean. It was really a fine trip as far as seeing the country, but I don't like living in a box car to we. We sat in the doors of the cars and took it all in.
