Saving...
June 10, 1945 Dear Folks, Here it is, another of those lazy Sun. afternoons. I'm finally getting up enough energy to write a couple letters. Nothing much going on around here. Pretty nice to lie around for awhile. I've been to Marseille a couple of times on pass. Seemed good to see a city again. Had the first street lights I've seen since I've been over here. There is every type of soldier there that you can imagine. The mail finally got in. I had 16 letters and a package. Most of the letters were from you and Ken's. I got two letters and a package from Evelyn Burton. The package was her graduation pictures and it is really swell. It is 5" x 7" and is enclosed in a red leather case. "over"
