(5) My mortar position. The gun was sitting in the rock pig pen just to the right of the building. The ammo. was kept in the building. That was my second gun position. The other one got blowed all to ---. Here is the story. I was gone back to the rest area and the German artillery landed about ten yds. from it. Two guys were killed and one hurt. That was the day I left. When I came back we decided to move to the position which is in the picture. The old position was one just like this only about 75 yds away. Anyway a couple of days later they got a direct hit on the old position and blew it to the place I mentioned before. guess I was lucky both times. Guess that takes care of the pictures. Speaking of pictures, I don't know of anyone else you could send those pictures
