Sept 19, 1945 Dear Folks, I'm a day late in writing but I was indiposed last night. I'll tell you what I mean. Yesterday afternoon six of us took a truck to the beach for a swim and one of them got hold of some stuff to drink. First thing I know I had five drunks on my hand. Cripes, I know how you used to feel dad. I finally got them loaded on the truck and I had to drive. I don't have a permit to drive Goc. vehicles but I did anyway To top it off, they yelled at every M.P. we passed We I ever glad to get back into camp Got them poured into bed finally and after that I just didn't feel like writing First time I've ever
