Low Pointers From 66th Div. To Join Austria Occupation Hq. 66th INF. DIV., Sept 21- Low Pointers of the 66th (BLack Panther) Div., who have staffed the Arles and St. Victoret Staging areas since early June, will begin moving to occupation units in Austria tomorrow. The 262nd Inf. Regt. will send 1,050 men to the 240th Regt. of the 42nd (Rainbow) Div. The 263rd Regt. On sept. 28 will send 1,00 to the 42nd's 241st Regt., and the 264th will send a like number to the 242nd Regt. On Sept 25. Sixty-Sixth men will go into occupation forces to make way for several thousand high point service troops who will go home with the Panther Div. in late October. Headquarters for the 42nd is at Salzburg. Austria, and the personnel of the division are dispersed throughout the eastern past of the country. Today at the Arles Staging area the "Black Pnathers" were together as a unit for the first time in ten months- and the last time, as they prepared either for the trip to the States or the trip to Austria Maj. Gen. Walter E. Lauer, CG, reviewing the men of his division in their last parade, commended the unit and urged all members of the 66th to carry on the "Panther spirit."
