We were playing a Negro team. Some Q.M. outfit. We started off with a bang and soon had a touchdown. By the end of the half we had another one. The score was 13-0 at the half. We scored again in the third quarter. All these scores were plunged over from about three yards out. Guess who made the next touchdown. Yep, I did. We were on their thirty-five yard line and they decided to give me a chance to carry the ball. I'd been blocking all the time before. Well anyway, I went crashing through tackle and broke into the open and then went all the way for the score. It really felt
