some people by surprise Glad Evelyn and Margret finally got to have that visit. I really should write Margret, but I'm having a heck of a time writing letters. I'm betting Ray will be on one of those 37th Div boats that were due in. Who knows, he may even be home by the time you get this letter. Ken may have spent this Xmas on a boat. I don't know just how long it takes them to make a trip that way. Just a year ago we were on our way moving towards France from England. We started that trip on Xmas Day. I hope you liked that watch Mom. From Dad's discription, it sounded plenty ok. I'm rather ashamed of myself cuz
