I haven't heard from Ray yet. I've been putting off writing him in hopes that I would get a letter but since I have his new address I just as well go ahead and write the next chance I get. It sounds like there is plenty of game to hunt around home. It would get thick since I'm not home. I suppose thats the reason it is thick, since there is nobody to hunt them. I'd sure like to try myself. Tell Ame[?] he can send me a coon-skin cap to wear this winter. I was going to try and write Ken but it is nearly time for study hours to start so I'll close now and get ready to go to work. Love Carroll
