Saving...
It was Tom[?] Carter's brother in law. He lives here in Laramie and said he had heard I was here so he called me. He invited me to go out to his ranch Sat but I couldn't do it because of my Sat classes. I am going down to his house this evening though. I got my ring yesterday. It really is a nice looking ring. Sort of I bought myself a birthday present. Funny it got here on that day. Don't worry about birthday presents for there isn't anything that I need. Talking about birthdays and cakes, we had a big party in my room after study hours the other night. The victim was the cake. There were about 18 of us but we all got enough of it to know that it was darned good. It came through in good shape and thanks alot. Those cookies you asked me about came through pretty good to. The box was ok but a few of the cookies were broken from bouncing around. I had to bite them into to eat them anyway so whats the difference?
