Saving...
Dec 19, 1943 Dear Folks, Guess I'd better get a few lines written again. Seems like it gets harder and harder to get all these letter answered. Been pretty busy this week. I think I told you that we have two weeks of tests coming up. Sure wish we didn't have them to look forward to. They are the ones that say wether you go home or not. Last night I went down town for awhile then came back. Nothing very exciting. This afternoon I went to a basketball game. Of couse our team won. I suppose Marg is there by this time. Tell her I'll try and answer one of her letters one of these days. I got you box of candy, cookies etc yesterday evening. Haven't had time to sample much of it yet. What I did eat was darned good. It looks a little like snow out. I guess we can't complain though for we have had only one that amounted to much. Don't worry about whether I'll have money enough to get home. If I pass these tests, I'll be there. I think we get paid about $15 before we leave.
