Saving...
June 7 Dear Folks, What a terrible day this has been. I don't know when I've been so darned tired and thirsty. We left early this morning and took off with gas mask, rifle and full field pack. We hiked a couple miles then we stopped for the day. We spent out time studing gas. They would touch of bombs of different gas then we would walk through it without a mask. There wasn't enough to hurt us but we know what is smelles like for the different gases in case we are ever attacked with it. We also went in the tear gas room and my mask fit ok. Then they sent us in again without the mask and we put it on after we were in. We had to hold our breath while we did it. Most of us got a little of it before we got our mask
