Saving...
in the field studing patrols and stuff. In the afternoon the officers put on a deminstration of scouting and patroling. It was fairly interesting. We got in about 5:00 tonight then we carried some machine guns around for a little while. We ate and then I have the evening to myself. Tomorrow we study the 30 cal. machine gun. I don't think we'll leave camp so we won't have to march much. You asked about that choclate cake at Camp D. Sure it was good. It always is when you bake them. One of the kids said he never like that kind of cake before but he sure liked that on. No fooling. I may try to write Ken tonight. Tomorrow night we scrub the barrack so I doubt if I get any letters written Got a letter from Rose yesterday. Love Carroll
