June 26, 1943 Dear Folks, & Rose, I nearlly forgot Rose was there in Rubio. This makes it easier for it will make one less letter to write. I've been writing them all after noon and I still have seven to go. Lord, how they did pile up. If I don't answer some of them before long they will think I'm missing in action or something. I should get them all answered for we are confined to [Regt.?] area for a week so I won't go anyplace this week end. I got a letter from Kay today and she said she had received the pictures ok. She thought they were pretty good, but what else could she say, people have to keep up my morale don't they? I hope you don't mind me answering your letter in this manner, Rose? Its
