July 30, 1945 My Dearest Evelyn, Sorry honey that I didn't get you written last night as I said I would. I wrote the folks and Ken and by that time I was so sleepy I could hardly stay awake. I told the folks about the picture honey so if I still have one they are going to send it to you. The last I knew it was still there. I also told them about us honey. I didn't say a whole lot, but I let them know how we stood. Told them it all started with our midnight picnic and progressed plenty from there. I also said that you figured into my post war plans.
