Sounds like Ruth is having a heck of a time getting married. Maybe she will win out yet. Evelyn, you keep talking about how you wish you we[re] graduating soon and I don't blame you. Thats one thing that worries me. I'm going to be old pretty soon and I have three years of college to get through even after I get out of this army. Believe me, its quite a problem. I've been to bed exactly twice this week and here it is Fri. Mon we ran around through the brush all night. The next night I walked guard. I've managed to get to bed a few hours the past two days. We have a speed march tonight which will just about finish me off. The heat is terrific down here. If it weren't for these rains it would really be bad. Tell the kids hello for me if you please. Sorry this is so short, but I've got to get busy. Bye for now. Love, Carroll
