Letterhead United States Army 2 Well friends, I am thank you folks about the picture of Carroll, and he's sure look good in picture yet, I hope I see him when he come back to the State. Tonight I will drop him a letter to let him know that I am still thinking of him. I sure miss him, because we use to sleep beside in Camp Roberts, and in the same company. Maybe we got to know each other by a picture. Maybe I am asked to much if you foks send me one of your picture to me. And then I'll send one of my from here in the next letter when I answer your back. If you do that, I'll thank you folks very much. Also thank you for the four leaf colver that you send me in letter too. I think I tell you folks about my job here in camp. Well as I do is cook at night, for the boys that on guard at night.. I like the work that I am doing here at night, the only thing I hate about it is I can get off at night to go to town.
