Camp Hood, Texas August 17, 1945 Dear friend: Today I will drop you folks a letter again, it being long time. Well I am still in bad shape and still have trouble with my legs. I being think to write to you folk but they transfer me one place to another, that why I don't have much address for a return address. Well friend I don't have much news from here, but only one good news things is a war is over again. That the only thing I am happy about, I hope you are the same way up there. Well next time when you write or drop me tel me about my pal Carroll, and send his address to me. I think I don't have much time to write more, but I'll do better next letter I write to you friend. I have to work in a cooking here now. So I am enclose more for the day. Answer soon (underlined), Your friend Tom
