Sept 30, 1945 My dearest Carroll, Hi darling! Today it is the last day of Sept. Another (?) more mo. closer to the day I'll be seeing you. Nothing else matters to me but that darling. You mean everything to me darling. And, honey, it makes no matter how long I have to wait I'll always be here waiting for you. I'll love you always, so very much. Gud, honey, don't give up the idea of going to school. Everything looks hard now to us but things will work out O.K. Maybe everything will work out so you can start at (?) school. Next year, honey.
