& get us. Well they all tho't bus got in at 11:10 but it got in at 10:00 so there we sat on our suit cases. I went to the farmhouse across the road & called & Mama couldn't imagine what was the matter. So Peg & Dad came after us. We spent the P.M. visiting & eating & felt miserable then. Went to the show that nite. "Tree Grows In Brooklyn." Was very sad & touching. A Vera turned on the air conditioner & about froze me to pieces. Mon AM I got up & helped Mom [with] wash. [illegible] & I took about 8 white uniforms home [with] us to wash & iron &
