April 4, 1946 Dear Vera, Carroll called this AM & from what he said he must have gotten through to you folks O.K. I hope he did. I had just gone to Dr Thayers to have some more work done on my teeth. Shirley called from here at hosp. & gave me a 2-way connection so I could talk from there. Gee, it was wonderful to hear him & to know he'll soon be home. I'm giving my 2 wks. notice, too. I'll have a couple days off during that time anyway. So I think
