Saving...
Nov 30, 1945 Dear Vera, Steamer & Margret, Hi! Rec'd your 2 swell letters. Right off, I'll tell you about the engagement. It should be in this Sunday's paper Dec 2nd. You'll probably have seen it by the time you get this letter. I couldn't decide for sure just how I was going to announce & then tho't the Sun. paper was best cuz there were so many people around [Monrovia?] to know it. Dolores has been so anxious for it she's been at the book store everyday this wk. so they'll be sure & save her a paper. By the way, she's going to be one of my bridesmaids. Yes, I'm going to Dav & I'm going to be in surgery instead of on nite duty. Suits me much better. But I'm coming home a few days before either on Thurs or Fri. Whichever I can get off. Will take the 5:30 AM train out of here & get the 7:30 train out of Dav. I have heard from Carroll (Wed.) last couple letter but one was 31st of Oct & the other 2nd of Nov. And about 2 wks ago I got one dated Nov 6th. The mail is getting all mixed
