February 7, 1946 Dear Vera, Steamer, & Meg, Hi! Got your letter & so glad to hear from you. Rose has landed by now. Have you heard from her? I was really surprised to hear she was coming home but so glad she is. I hope she can get discharged but maybe that's hoping for to much. Will she get about 30 days now or what. Hope we can make connections while she's here. We are really busy here again. Have 2 or 3 beds in each of the halls & it certainly makes for inconvenience. Every nite when I go on duty they say we have no beds & not to admit any pts so what happens -- I get in 2 or 3 everytime. So we drag the cots down from the pent house. Another student quit today. I'm beginning to wonder what is happening around here. It has been pretty rugged lately for some. Mistakes sure to come in streaks. Last nite was my nite off & one of nurses used to
