Cedar Repids Iowa Feb. 2nd 1931. Dear Pearl & family:- Well it is [Monday] A.M. At present we ([illegible] & myself) are alone. [Yesterday?] P.M. [Joseph and Thelma?] started for [illegible] city [AR?]. Joseph was going out this A.M. But Thelma wanted to go [illegible] to be with a girl friend who had just gotten out of the hospital after an operation for apendicitis. She thought if Thelma could stay with her for a few days until she got stronger it would be a great [accommodation?].
