Dec 18, 1942 Dear Mom;- I haven't really seen enough of the Army to know if I like it or not Luckily I haven't drawn K.P. yet I guess I just haven't had the chance Going to the hospital like I did and staying for 10 days Then good- ness only knows how much longer I'll be here You see I'm about well enough to leave but I'm not well enough to have my teeth worked on as there will have to be a lot of extractions So I will probably stay here until I'm well enough to have that done It looks like I'll be spending Xmas in the hospital Isn't that something to look forward to
