3 we found things fairly quiet. The rest of the boys had done their work pretty well. All traffic was halted, & there were very few people to be seen anywhere. You can imagine what a change it was, from a large Sat. night crowd to a deserted town in about 14 or 20 min. The transformation was really startling. A few of our vehicles were to be seen, scurrying around with their exhausts still popping, but that's about all. We took our prisoners in our jeep to a pre-arranged spot in the public square for questioning. In the meantime, the other boys had rounded up the town officials & taken control of the Telegraph and Telephone office, the radio station & railroad terminal. One of the boys took it on himself to put a Propaganda broadcast on the air, & he actually spoke for about 10 min.
