Saving...
So we won't even get a chance to get used to garrison life before we have to leave it again. But we come in on a Saturday, so we'll spend Easter Sunday in camp. That's some consolation. I've been wondering about some kind of a remembrance for your birthday and I honestly didn't know what to get for you. Your suggestion has fallen on receptive ears, and I will take it under the deepest consideration. But it will have to wait until after I get paid. All right? We're definitely getting ready to go to the P.O.M. (Port of Overseas Movement). Most everyone believes that we'll be across by September. We're getting "shots," seeing lots of new training films, and having our equipment checked. So my next furlough will probably be my last one. I'm going to try and get some more letters written tonite, so I'll say so long now. All my love -- Jack [Row of X's]
