Saving...
of our equipment. We finished supper and had mail call a little while ago, and now I'm going to finish this letter and write a short note to Sally before I go to the show tonite. There isn't a heck of a lot to write about, as we haven't been doing a thing all of this week. It's quite a let-down from Tiger Camp! It certainly was a surprise to find that you're buying war bonds jointly for you and me. I really appreciate it, Mom, but I don't understand why you don't want to live to see them mature. I sincerely hope you do see that time come. Thanks a lot for doing it, and I hope I never have to touch them. There just doesn't seem to be anything to write about. Generally we've just done something or are about to do something. But neither one of those things has happened, so will say good-night for now. All my love, Mom, Your Son --- Jack [X's around signature and at bottom of page]
