Saving...
we got word that the General had called it off for today. So we put our vehicles back in the motor pool and came back to the barracks. That was about 15 minutes ago. 11:00 P.M. Hello again, I got roped into a lot of work, since I wrote the first part of this letter. The inspection is to be in the barracks tomorrow morning, and the vehicles are to be inspected, too. That is, down in the motor-pool. So I've spent most of the afternoon and evening getting my equipment straight and cleaning the half-track. It was a mess. Especially the motor. But I've got it shining now. And I guess it will pass inspection. I hope!! That party you went to, sounds like a lot of fun. I'd have enjoyed being there. With all that money to spend. I haven't written to the Addys' yet, but I will soon. I've been so busy that I just couldn't do it. May 24, 1943 1:30 P.M Here I am again Mom.
