[Letterhead] Please excuse my writing. I explained in Sally's letter, the reason for it being so lousy. I'm surrounded by water cans, and they make lousy seats and desks. We're under orders to move out at any time, with 30 minutes notice. The red forces and the blue forces are beginning to deploy into strategic positions. Our job is to attack and attack, without let-up, if need be. Our commanding General firmly believes the old army rule. The best defense, is a good offense. Perhaps he's right. Anyhow, we're really getting into these maneuvers in earnest, now. My letters home, will be even less frequent than they have been in
