[Letterhead] July 12, 1943 11:30 A.M. Dear Mom,- Your newsy letter arrived this morning, and was very glad to get it, as usual. Did I acknowledge your 4th of July greeting? Don't remember if I did or not. My memory is getting bad. Thanks for thinking of me, Mom. I really appreciate those "little" things. Very interested to hear about the McKenna's. Wondered about them a few times. Still can't picture Kitty as being married. In my mind---she's not grown up yet. You've sure been having trouble with your gardening. Looks
