Wed. Nov. 24- [1943?] My dear Jack- Have time to write only a note as this is a busy day as you know I thought that by the time you returned to Camp Gordon a Thanksgiving card would be passe so I'm sending this one whose sentiments are always apropos Hope you like it I did not send you a box because the other one went so recently and will soon be sending one (or more) for Christmas Won't you please tell us if there is anything you need for Christmas for it would be so much better to send you something you could use instead of a lot of useless junk Had a letter from Gertrude yesterday and Thelma has something wrong and may have to have an operation after the holidays
