Saving...
the barbed wire Of course our half tracks were in close support with 50 and 30 cal. machine gun fire The bazooka men and flame throwers went in under covering fire to blast at the pill boxes. All this time there were quite a few planes in the air and the Field Artillery Liaison planes directing fire It was a creeping barrage being lifted about 100 yards ahead of our men at all time Our 57 men A.T. guns raised hell with a couple of pill boxes from 3 miles It took 16 hours to conquer it What a thrill! Must say good nite now All my love Mom Your son Jack xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
